The In Plain Sight Shelf features a magnetic latch system to conceal your valuables. Here is how it works:
1. Place the included magnet key centered on top of the shelf, about 4" from the front. The magnet will automatically find the correct location of the hidden latch and disconnect the lock.
2. Pres up lightly on the bottom of the shelf to allow the latch to fully unlock and release the shelf.
Your IPS Shelf comes with adjustable hinges. This allows you to get the perfect fit after installation. If there is a gap between the top and bottom shelf, it can be adjusted by turning the three inner screw shown here. Use a Phillips head screwdriver to do the following:
A. Turn each screw counter clockwise 180 degrees
B. Check the gap by closing the shelf
If visible space remains, repeat step A and B again until there is no visible space between the top and bottom shelf when closed. This process can be reversed if the fit is too tight.
